As a January bride, one could say that I am a little partial to January weddings. It is such a fun occasion to gather friends and family after all of the holiday craziness has subsided. Sometimes our couples select January because they have always dreamed of a winter wedding…and other times it’s because they are MLB players and January is really the best time for their busy work schedule! That was the case for McKenzie and Scott. Before he became a big time baseball player, Scott Carroll and I ran around in some of the same circles within our hometown of Liberty, Missouri. When I met his fiancé (at the time), McKenzie, it was easy to see how they perfectly complimented one another. They are laid-back and love to laugh. It was very clear from the beginning that their priority for their wedding was to create a special event to celebrate both their love and the people that love them. With a short and sweet ceremony, incredible food and drinks from the Gallery Event Space followed by one heck of a party with Platinum KC their goals were achieved! We absolutely loved working with these two and love reliving their day through the beautiful images by Melissa and Beth Photography.
